editing files while xrefed by other machines on a network

    Are we able to set a variable that will allow us to open a file and edit it
    while it is being xrefed by another computer on a network and what would
    that be? Is it a setting that has to be made on both computers or just the
    computer attempting to directly open the file?.

    TOOLS>OPTIONS>Open and Save
    External References
    Demand load Xref's
    Enabled with copy

    This needs to be set on all PC's accessing the xref or file containing the
    xref.
