Edit Explode Step - Work around

Discussion in 'SolidWorks' started by Richard Charney, Feb 14, 2005.

  1. Probably most of you know that if you try to edit an 'Explode Step' by
brabbing the 'Blue Arrow' and dragging it, you'll CTD.

But what I've noticed is that if you 'RMB' on the 'Explode Step', in the
feature manager, that you want to edit/move, you select to 'Edit Feature'.
From here you can either enter a numerical distance to move the expploded
parts or you can click on either the up arrow or the down arrow and move the
parts in steps. When your done, click on 'Apply' and then "Done'. When
finish editing the exploded config, it won't CTD.

I know, kind of a pain, but maybe this problem was fixed in SP1.1
Has anybody installed it and checked?

  2. Richard,

That CTD only happens if "single command per pick" is checked in the
    tools-options.

    It's fixed in SP1.1
