dxf units???

    Hello
    I need to write an application that reads dxf files and show them.The
    thing is -I do not understand the "units" issue-how can I know if the
    units are in mm cm.,....moreover the numbers relating to where?
    I 'll thank any one who have some information regarding it.

    DXF doesn't use dimensions simply because AC doesn't use dimensions
    too

    so you have either to make assumptions (i.e. normally mechanical
    drawings are made in mm and architectural in m) or to ask the user to
    choose somehting.

    *imho* not valid for still common DXF14 and older.
