DXF translation

    i have no DXF programming experience, but work in the CAD industry. I
    am interested in DXF translation to raster image format. For each
    drawing entity in a 2D DXF file, such as LINE, POLYLINE, etc, i want to
    make a table of entities and attributes, such as start and end
    co-ordinates. Please advise about how this might be done, thanks
