    I'm trying to find out which units the thickness of entities such as
    Lines, arcs, polylines, etc. are in. ie) for a Line with a thickness
    (code 39) == 0.29 . Are these units mm's?
    Thanks for any help.

    The units are "AutoCAD drawing units" (DU). What it is in your
    drawing/dxf depends on what you want to use. If you decide that 1 DU
    is 1 mm than all coordinates an distances are mm. If you decide to use
    1 DU is 1 inch than it is so. So you can say the value for thickness
    has the same units as the coordinates
