    Hello all,
I have a question about something I'm trying to accomplish in a drawing.
I would like to rotate or a window vertically around its center to view it
    at a 45 degree angle.
I am drawing windows in a 45 degree wall (when viewed in the elevation).
The window that is on the flat wall is normal size, but the windows on the
    45 degree wall
are smaller in width because of the viewing angle. If I insert a block of
    a window, is there
some way of spinning this block to align with the 45 degree view.

    thank you
    steve

Make a copy of your window drawing.

    Open the copy.

Type VPOINT, choose Rotate, enter 225 at first prompt, 35 at second
    prompt.
This will change the angle from which you view the drawing.

Type UCS, choose X, then type 90. This rotates the UCS 90 degrees. The
    "Y" should be pointing UP.

Start the ROTATE command and select your window drawing. Choose a base
point and enter -45 for the angle of rotation. This should rotate the
plane of the drawing -45 degrees.

To get back to normal: Type UCS, press enter for the World default.

Type VPOINT, Rotate, enter 270 at the first prompt; 90 at the second
    prompt.
You should be back in a regular overhead "plan" view except that your
window object should be foreshortened. If all looks right, SAVE the
drawing with a distinctive file name. You can insert this window as a
block on your angled walls the same as your would a "flat" block.

If you get confused, blow away the drawing and try again. The
procedures described above are your first step in learning how to draw
    in 3D, by the way.

Contact me e-mail if you have questions.

    Good Luck.
