dwg open in 2004 able to be opened in 2002 not read only

    hello all
    I seem to have aproblem now we have installed acad2004in our office. We have 2 copies of 2004 and one of 2002. If i have a drawing open in 2004 the other copy of 2004 cannot open the file unless as read only. this is what i expect, but unfortunately the copy of 2002 is able to open the same drawing which is already open in 2004 without getting any message on the screen to accept the open as read only. this means that it is possible to have two people working on the same drawing in two versions of autocad. Is there a setting i have missed to prevent this from happenning as it is possible to save both drawings and lose one set of alterations.
    awaiting a reply. i have demand load set to disabled on all machines and when we were running just 2002 we didnt have this problem
