    (1) My home computer use AutoCad 200i software

    (2) Usually, I bring some DWG files to office, doing some editing
works on my company's AutoCad 2002 machine, and sometime vice-versa.

    (3) This sort of bringing to-&-fro from home to office & vice-versa
(using CD-RW as a medium) has no problem for the past years (except
some minor message of Read-Only ......message, just simply ignor it,
    it still works fine)

    (4) Today, I bring to my company some DWG files which are created with
AutoCad 200i software. When I edit with AutoCad 2002 machine, it
works fine too. The problem come when I save the edited file, it show
a "Write Protected file" message, and cannot save. This spoil my
    whole hour of editing effort.

What is the root cause of my problem ?? and how to solve it ???

Why such problem do not exist in the past years ??

  3. Because the files on CD is allways write protected. Just save it on the HD
    for editing.
Remember when you copy directly to HD fron CD, allways remove write
    protection allso.....

Right click file / s, and press properties uncheck the writeprotect check
    box..
