Back in Sept. of 2003, Autodesk & Oce were busily patting each other on the
back because they had apparently made an agreement to provide direct DWF
support on Oce devices. I haven't heard much of anything since, and a
search of DWF on Oce's web site comes up empty. Has anybody here heard
    anything about this since then?

  2. Repro Desk Server 1.6.3 is available now. It has the ability to hook up an
external processor. The Oce Client Tools include a utility called
makeldf.exe. So if you install the Client Tools on the same machine as Repro
Desk Server, you can set up makeldf.exe as an external process for DWF
files. It will turn the DWF files into LDF files which Repro Desk knows how
to print. This allows you to process DWF files in an automated fashion. The
Client Tools are free and available at
http://www.oceplancenter.com/download.asp. Repro Desk Server 1.6.3 is
    available from Oce North America.

  3. Somehow I understood that Oce would introduce plotters (plotter
controllers) that would process dwf directly, like there are printers
and plotters already that understand pdf directly (no conversion
software needed, just submit the pdf).

  4. That is in the works as per previous press releases. What you are referring
to is an update to the Océ Power Logic Controller. For commercial
reprographers who have Océ Repro Desk now, they can use the process I
    outlined in my previous post.
