dview twist rotate

    looking for a way to rotate an object or a set of lines holding a base
    point and rotate to a existing line or point. Does rotate command move the
    Coords

  2. DVIEW can rotate the view of the model-it doesn't rotate any entities or the
    UCS.
    ROTATE can rotate selected entities, but not the UCS or the view of the
    model.
    UCS can rotate the coordinate system, but does not rotate any entities or
    (generally) the view of the model.

    Under the ROTATE command there is a subprompt for "Reference" which allows
    you to define an angle for the "handle" of the rotation other than the
    default angle of 0. The careful use of this function can often accomplish
    what you'd like without 'constructive geometry' being added to the model,
    but not always. It's a bit of a conceptual flaw to link the base point with
    the first of two points that define the desired resultant angle of the
    function.

    Now that I think about it, a modified ROTATE routine that prompts for four
    reference points would be a nice, fairly simple LISP to write.
