Is there a conversion utility out there that will take a dsn file and output lay.txt, via.txt, etc?
As you can inspect DSN file, it consist of different sections, which can be in separate files and just included to *.DSN. In case you receive DSN from VXL, it is already separated to multiple files.
I am less than a novice when it comes to all these board design tools and , needless to say, I didn't fully understand this response. Let me try to be a little more clear on my question: We have developed a utility that works with Allegro's output files (seg.txt, pin.txt, via.txt, outline.txt, etc...) We want to be able to support other tools such as Mentor and they all share the dsn output feature. We are currently designing yet another utility to do the conversion but would prefer not to invest the time if there is something already out there. Any suggestions?
