I need to create a instruction sheet and I would like to type it in MS word
and to be able to insert views from the SW 2D drawing sheet.

Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks much,

    The way I do it....
    1.) print drawing as PDF (I use PDF995, cust US$9.95 at www.pdf995.com)
2.) convert PDF to png with GhostScript (free...use google to find)
3.) use png formatted picture in Word

I like the png format because it supports vectors, so it doesn't blur
when scaled down and can be embedded into the document. I don't like
putting live SW into Word (it is possible). Never trusted it, and it
forces one to use SW to view.

browse to you drawing JPEG file you just made.....

Hitting the [Print Screen] key will take a snapshot of the screen and
put it into the Clipboard as a picture. Holding [Alt] down while doing
this will take a snapshot of the active window/dialog box only. You can
paste this directly into Word, but the filesizes get really large so I
would suggest pasting it into a picture editor and then saving it from
    there.

  5. Jpeg is a lossy compression for picutres, as a rule never use it for
graphics. For graphics use .PNG or .GIF as these will produce similar
size files without the blurring associated with Jpeg. If you go and look
at a few dozen websites, you'll find all the graphics elements are .GIF
or .PNG for this very reason, to keep things sharp. Jpeg should be
restricted to things taken with cameras.

Isn't there some new functionality for embedding a word document into your
drawing. Couldn't McBurger use this. In preview I thought at aclick of a
button it captured the current model view and added it to the document for
notation. Seems that it would be a good fit.

We usually insert word doc. into the SW file this way it is easer to update
views, this work OK for couple pages parts list or instructions
