Has anyone seen a utility to generate drawing trees?

A drawing tree is a graphical representation of the dependencies of one
    part/assembly drawing on the next.

  2. Our AssyGator add-in (www.solidplus.com/assygator/ ) generates HTML,
    navigable graphs of assembly structures.
Tell me if you need something different, I'm working on the next version,
which will be based on XML (www.cadml.com)

    Philippe,

What I am looking for is a tool to document the relationships between
drawing documents with the output in a drawing document. This is something
we used to do to show visually the relationship between various prints and
how parts flow into assemblies. The implementation would show rectangular
boxes connected by lines and displaying various custom properties such as
part number, revision, quantity used in a sub-assembly.

  4. so it would be a kind of tree-BOM ? I can do it easily. 3 questions :
    1) should it be made of SW-entities (sketches) or can it be an external
    format such as SVG ?
    2) can you e-mail me an example of what you want ? (my_name_at_dynabits.com)
    3) how much would you pay ? ;-)

    Ken,

Thanks. Guess I should look at the list of partners more often. Have you
    used this?

    Philippe,

I showed the TreeWorks page to our production manager and he immediately saw
the benefit. It would have saved a weeks work for a Production Manager and
Program Manager recently. They spend a lot of time sorting through prints.
    Well worth the price.

I would still like to get your program for sorting out assemblies (Assy
Gator). It would be nice if I could get the drawing tree functionality with
    it.
