Drawing issue - maybe

  1. Hi,

    I had something strange happen...

Had a custom property (revision - in a part) as a lower case "a" as a
    mistake...

Made a drawing and noticed it was a lower case "a"...

Went back to part and changed it to an uppercase "A"...

The drawing still showed a lower case "a", even after saves and rebuilds?

Went back to part, changed rev to a "B", back to drawing now is a upper case
"B", back to part changed to a rev "A", back to drawing and it is correct...

It was acting as though it would only change the case of the rev property,
if it was a different letter?

Is the property in a design table? Excel formats in a design table
carry over to custom properties when the DT updates.

I've seem similar bug, but only when using API. I've not been able to
replicate the error though. Are you using a macro to set your
    property value?

  4. Hi,

No I am not using a Design Table or a Macro...

I will try the experiment again later today after a reboot - too much work
    at this moment.

    Thanks for the input,

    Aron

  5. Just a hunch, but I remember something similar in windows explorer
    with file names.

There was a time when windows would not rename a file if only the case
    changed.
It seems that's not the case today, but for instance if you had a file
named ABCDEFG.jpg and wanted to rename it abcdefg.jpg it would not
take until you changed the name to something else completely
    different.
