How do I draw an arc with a known radius, delta, and length? I know for a straight line I would type
@656.24<24d34'50" but what is the format for a radius with a L=663.42', R=1750.00;, and D=21'43'15"? Thanks.

I just played around with this for a while.....

    Interesting.

I drew a line 1750' long as a radius. Then I drew a line perpendicular to that line
to be used as a tangent line for the arc.

I rotated both lines the angle specified.

Then I drew a circle using Tan, Tan, Radius, making it tangent to the two lines
    perpendicular to the radii.

I trimmed the circle, measured the arc, and it was the correct length, that is it was
    663.42510'. pretty darn close.

I checked the ID of the end points of the radii, and the intersecting points of the
circle to the radii, and they were identical to about 10 decimals.

I then just drew an arc from one end point to the other, using Start, End, Radius.
The result is the exact same arc as the one I did using a circle, and the tangents.

All you need to know is the starting point, the radius, the angle of the first
tangent line, and the angle made by the arc.

You know all four of those.

Just draw the first radius perpendicular to the tangent line, with one end point at
the end of the straight property line.

Rotate the radius line the 21d43'15", and draw an arc using Start, End, Radius. When
you know the first tangent line, and the change in angle, you already know enough to
know the angle of the chord.

    So simple, after all.

    and D=21'43'15"? Thanks.

Ah! the wonders of old fashioned geometry.

Makes you wonder how those Egyptians built them pyramids .................

Everyone knows that the pyramids were built by aliens, not Egyptians...

    Hi Jambruins,

21D43'15" = 21.720833333333333333333333333333, so draw a line say 2000. Then copy rotate that line at 21.720833333. Then draw a circle at R1750. Then TRIM-->enter enter and touch the circle anywhere on the 338D16'45" portion. And wa la, an arc that is L=663.42', R=1750.00 and D=21'43'15"? Delete the lines or trim them or whatever... GL
