Whenever users (on Windows XP with AutoCAD 2000/ADT 2) plot to our HP
Designjet 500 w/ HPGL2 card, the system creates to jobs in the que. One job
seems to be legitimate but the other has 0 bytes. We also get a "failed to
print" warning from XP, but the plots seem to come out fine.

What is casuing these extra plot jobs and error?

    Thanks,
    Joe

Are you using special HPCONFIG features ?
Perhaps it's just because you use HDI drivers
If you watch teh queue, are both jobs from the same user ?

    Thanks for your help.

We aren't using HPConfig ( I think that was discontinued for ACAD 2000).
I don't know if we are using HDI drivers. How would I find this out?
Both queues are from the same user.

This did not happen when the PC's were running Windows 98. It started when
we upgraded to Windows XP. We did a fresh install after formating hard
    disks.

I am discovering that this must be a Windows XP problem because printing a
test page from Windows also produces two print jobs.

    Thanks
    Joe

What OS is the "Print Server"
Did you install the XP drivers on it ?
