Question i have is i just ordered a Quadro FX500 to replace my Geforce4 M420
will i see an all around improvement when modeling such as rebuild times and
complex filleting response time? And do you feel that a Graphics card is as
or more important than an increasing your ram, if you can only choose one
    too do.

  2. No. Those use only the CPU.
Balance your system depending on what you do:
simple parts and small assemblies: 512Mb and low GeForce is enough
surfaces & design, "normal" assemblies : 1Mb and high GeForce or low Quadro
    is ok
large assemblies : 2+Mb, top Quadro.

  3. I agree with Philippe. To see if you need more RAM, open up the task manager
and watch how much memory you are using while you work on your most complex
parts/assemblies. If, at the end of the day, your commit charge peak isn't
close to or more than your physical memory, then more RAM won't help.
