Divide arc into specific length

I am drawing 2'-0" wood panels around a circular desk often. I need a routine that will divide my arc into 2' perimeter segments. Or a better polar array that will allow me to pick the angle between objects and the start and end points to array the objects between, or to just type in the 2' for the arc length into the polar array. There are multiple ways of achieving this. Any suggestions?

MEASURE will do what you want. Just pick a point mode that you can see.

  3. You can try Lengthen Total 2' <pick an end of an arc>. That will make the
arc 2' long. If the arc starts at 0 degrees, you can do this UNDOCUMENTED
    trick:

Call up Array, and pick the arc. At the R/P prompt, type in C (for
Circular) [a leftover from many releases ago, that still works, though it's
not described in Help or offered in the prompts]. Give it the center-point
of the arc as a base. When it asks for the angle between items, pick the
non-0-direction end of the arc. Give it a number of items, and answer Yes
to the question about rotating the items as they are arrayed.

Sounds like the Measure command is what you need.

-ARRAY POLAR does just that. When asked for number of items in the array, just press enter, then the angle to fill, and the angle between each.

Though the measure comand has been mentioned, don't forget
that measure can also lay out blocks on any curve and rotate them
with the curve. Use the block option. This is much easier than
    array.
