Using 2005, does anyone know how to display lineweights for the plotter...I
switched it on the options toggle, but it's not displaying it
correctly...Does anyone know of a different setting or variable..?

Also, I can switch the layout background from gray, white pen widths back to
    color...still learning and getting older...

In the pagesetup for the layout, choose "display plot styles".
For detailed display of lineweights, choose "Preview". An approximate
display is available with the LWT button in the status bar.

  4. Pretty neat! One suggestion - since it changes colors dynamically a cancel
or save current settings button would be handy. But still, pretty darn
    neat!

    Thanks,
Saving the settings before you change things would be easy using the get_cur_col subr that's in the program already and assign that value to a variable. Then reset at cancel or have a restore button.

I normally use AutoCAD defaults so the default button is all I use after a needed change.

  7. fun stuff! now only if we could have a backround image instead of just one color.
Or...wow, just thought of this....maybe we can change the backround color to yellow and red for caution and DANGER.
So if one of our favorite users makes a badly named layer, it turns ugly red and they call for help.
Add that to your command reactors for some video game like experiences...maybe add sound too.
