    Hi,

is there a way to tell AutoCAD 2000i to start a drawin in allways the
same view/perspective/ with allway the same layers activated ?
regardless how this drawing was saved ?

  2. If you want *every* drawing to open the same, you could do this with a
startup script. (Look it up in the help.) The view could be a named view or
something like zoom>extents, or whatever, invoked from the script. The layer
set up could be done with the command line version of the layer command
invoked from the script. In order for this thing to work, however, you
drawings would all have to be pretty similar if not identical in structure.
In the case of a named view, each drawing would have to have the same view
saved, and in the case of layers, each would heave to have at least one
common layer to make current. The script would apply the same view and layer
setup for every drawing you open, not a particular setup for a particular
drawing. That would be *WAY* more work.
