Dispalying a drawing thumbnail

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Laurie Comerford, Jul 11, 2004.

  1. Hi,

The program dwgthumbnail.ocx does not appear to handle R2000 and R2004 file
    formats.

What technique is necessary to display thumbnails of a VBA form ?

  3. Hi Terry,

I was using v1.0. I've searched the web and the latest I can find is v1.7.

Like Perry I need a guideline to find v2.0

FWIW, I've found that the file format does not matter so much as whether or
not the bitmap preview as been created or not.

  5. Hi Joe,

It looks like this is right.

I found the drawing where my code was crashing didn't have a saved bitmap
preview . I loaded the drawing in R2004, did a zoom extents and saved it.

The code then ran. I can now complete it with relevant error control.

My next query relates to the fact that some of the bitmap previews have
    white backgrounds and some black.

Has anyone experienced this problem ?

Don't know the answer to the background question, but, I had the same problem
with WMF files until I found the system variable WMFBKGND. There may be a
    setting for thumbnails also.
