I've got a part that has a number of pockets machined into it. The
pockets are all the same width, height and depth. Is it technically
ok to simply ordinate dimesion the pocket to the center of the part
and note the pocket spec? Or do I need to dimension to the perimeter
of the pockets for each instance of the pocket?

    Thanks,
    Rob

Ordinarily, the former is acceptable. In general, any drawing should be as
simple as possible while still conveying the information required to produce
    the part.
