Difference in programming

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by jeroenberkers, Sep 10, 2004.

  1. I am looking to buy AutoCAD 2005 (ACAD2005) or Architectural Desktop 2005
    (ADT2005). Now I have a question about the LISP/VBA-programming: is there a
    difference between ACAD & ADT?
Also are there other differences in the customization of both?

AFAIK there are additional interface objects in addition to the
basic AutoCAD object model for the ADT ActiveX features
    exposed.

DXF and dictionary access to ADT objects is possible but
    discouraged and undocumented.

Basic LISP and VBA are virtually identical.

    See the ADT customization group.
