difference between xdata and xrecord

    hi,
    here is a question ,may be simple but i would like to listen to some
    opinions.

    I've dabbled with both, though I have not implemented anything using
    XRecords.

    My understanding is that XData is attached to an object, either an actual
    entity (line, circle, etc.) or other database object (layer, dimstyle,
    etc.).

    XRecords are not attached objects. Their data structure is similar, but the
    data is not tied to any object.
