yep, right-click on the dimension to get the min and max. bob z
couldn't think of the terms 'min' and 'max' because, well, because they
    just aren't there as options!
bob z. will try to hold the shift key while creating the dimension
    right now.

the holding of the shift key during creation works.

    Thanks!

I found when creating the dimension and still in the dimension command
this option is not there but after when all dimensioning is done and you
are out of the dimension command, right click and poof! there it is....
Although this is in a part not a drawing...

    bob zee,
I got to work once the old way by dragging the extension line right
after creating the dim but can't do it again to save my sole! :( Shift
    key method works fantasic!

    Brian,
Thanks for the tip on shift key.

    Just another thought here.
If you attempt to create a diameter dimension in a sketch but fail to
select a centerline, then two options will be missing or unavailable
    under Dimension Properties:
If this is the case, you must edit the sketch and drag/drop the
extension line from geometry to contruction/centerline.
