dialouge box "flashes"

When I view through a viewport and list a referance or object, the dialouge
box flashes on but does not persist. Need toggle fix.

viewport layer frozen?

 

have yet to try all suggestions as deadline is tomorrow at 12,
but did find that the viewport was not on, not locked but off so it could
not be seen. could list xref when it was on.

but first time i can remember needing to have them on, have been trying to
play with system variables to increase regen speed
with big refs and viewports. maybe a toggled something. using a standard
PS/MS use

will work when view port is on, will try Dean S stuff asap
