Deployment Pathh Too Long

    I created a deployment for standalone installations. It inslatted just fine
    to a workstatio yesterday. Today I get this error message:
    "The length of the deployment path exceeds the maximum allowable limit.
    Please move the deployment to a shorter path."
    I thought this was odd that it installed fine one day, but not the next
    The original path was:
    \\Uslvan\Network Software\Land Desktop 2004
    i changed it to
    \\Uslvan\Net-Inst\LDT 2004
    but still got the same error.

    Help please.

    Hi Matt,

    I don't think your path length is at issue here. This error has been known
    to occur in rare instances when a deployment becomes corrupt for one reason
    or another. So, I recommend that you try recreating your admin image and
    deployment from scratch. If you are applying a service pack to your
    deployment the you must make sure that you have applied the Network
    Installation Wizard (NIW) patch first.

    Where is that update? The download on the web says it's for Hungarian only.
