    Hi
please someone tell me how can I delete the inserted blocks
name in a drawing from insert dialog box without erasing blocks?

Block names are kept in the table 'block', and as (assoc 2) within the 'insert' entities. You can change the name to some other name, without erasing the blocks, but you cannot delete the 'name' of the block. You could, however, 'explode' the block inserts, and follow up with a 'purge' 'b'. Other than that, you cannot do it. What is it that you are attempting to do ?

I think the only blocks that don't show up in the dialog are the ones
with a * in front like dims. These are anonymous. but I'm not sure if
they aren't automatically deleted every time the drawing is closed.
