    This may be a basic one, but we can't seem to get it figured out. We are running acad2002 and Autocadlt2002 in our engineering group. Many of our drawings were done at a different location and every time we try to plot a drawing it defaults to the printer that the original drawing was configured with. This printer is over 1500 miles away, so printing to it is not an option. Acad then substitutes the "none" option which forces us to select a new plotter from the page setup or select "previous plot" every time. While this does not seen like a big deal, 20 to 30 times per day, every day starts to add up. Is there a way to set ACAD2002 so that no matter what the drawing default plotter was, you can always default to your own printer?

    If you create a .pc3 file with the original name, but point it to a current plotter, drawings will then find the original name ..pc3 file, but since it will now point to a valid plotter, you will get no error messages.

  3. Hopefully an option in the next release to configure AutoCAD to either take
    the default device or another preselected device, or the (useless) none
    device.

    In the mean time Jimmy B's Lisp routine may help (www.jtbworld.com -> CAD ->
    LISP for AutoCAD -> PlotDeviceFunctions.lsp)
