Cute PDF as network printer?

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Jason Piercey, Dec 9, 2004.

  1. I've installed cute pdf on our Windows 2000 server,
created a .pc3 file using that network printer but when
I print something the dialog to choose where to save the
..pdf file does not appear (like it does when the printer
    is setup as a local)

Does cute pdf support network printing?

  2. I don't think so. A handy person could perhaps setup a PDF server for you
based on GhostScript, a PostScript driver and RedMon (note that CutePDF is
also based on GhostScript, like many other free or cheap PDF writers).
Installing CutePDF on each workstation and sharing the PC3 is probably
easier. BTW commercial PDF server products cost more than a copy of AutoCAD.
