Customizing AutoCAD to display specific features

I have rudimentary knowledge of AutoCAD-drafting & detailing. Presently, I have a project in which I need to customize a building plan that already exists in AutoCAD.

EX: A 3D model of the building already exists. I need to create some "clickable" points at the corners of each floors so that when you hit the point a menu pops up with some details like stress or displacement etc that already exist in database files. So, how do i go about attaching the values in some database to those particular points in the dwg? Is it called interfacing?

If anyone has knowledge of other analysis software like SAP or ETABS, the objective of my project is to display things similar to the display results feature in those softwares.

I'd greatly appreciate if someone can help. Thanks a zillion.
