Custom Properties Text Pull down with a predetermined list of Names?

Discussion in 'SolidWorks' started by Chris Bourgeois, Feb 9, 2007.

  1. Is this possible?

to have the Custom Properties, Text, Pull down with a predetermined
    list of Names?
So that we can select from maybe a Database or text file?

Im looking to use this in the place when the Drafter's name, the
Checker's name, and Approved name would go.

    Thanks

I havn't been able to get kcs utilities (which includes the custom
property manager) to run in 2007 fyi. It's a great app and I do miss
it....! However, maybe the custom properties utility on its own does
    run in 2007?

Ya don't need to pay money for this function. You can take any number
of free custom property editors out there and do some mods to the form
and code to get what you are looking for. Check with your VAR to see
if they have anything. Hawkridge (western US) has this kind of
function bundled in with an add-on pack that they give out to those
    who have their subscription current.
