Is there any problem using a network based common menu and utility directory
with multiple users sharing the same menu, lisp, vba and blocks? We are
trying to come up with a solution so that we don't end up with many
different versions of our menus at each computer. It would be nice to keep
it all in one location so that we know everyone's menu is up to date and
    consistent.

    Thanks.

we have done that for years.

these days we do it by loading an argument file for that department on a
    new computer
this references the department menus and the menus bring the lisp (.mnl) and
    the lisp brings everything else
if the user wants to change anything he can... normally they don't change
the actual menu they only change which ones are displayed, etc

the menus themselves are protected and if you want them back you need only
    reload the argument file

The only issue is one of speed and stability. AutoCAD runs faster if
it's menus and routines are stored locally. Typically, this
performance hit it not noticeable nowadays though.
