Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Alvin Hoffpauir, May 10, 2004.

  1. We just upgraded form 2002 to 2005.
How do I get custom menu's to load at start-up like it use to do in 2002.
now we have to load the menu every time we start 2005

    Double negative?

Startup loads every time in both.

But if you're talking about some custom menu, that is another story..

I do not have 2005 (just 2004) but when you type MENU do you not have your
custom menu available? On the other hand, have you named your custom menu
something other than acad.mnu? If so, have you copie the mnc, mnr and mns
files and given them the same name as your custom menu? If not, I would
suggest you do this so that when you find your custom menu, it will perform
the correct compiling to the newly named mnc, mnr and mns files. I would be
interested in how you get your menu to work for my future use when I get
    2005.

  4. Alvin,

Try copying the partial menu locally, and recompile it from the local
location. Then move all the menu files back to the network location. Does
    that help?

  5. Walt,

To query which menus are loaded, MenuLoad would be the appropriate command.
Menu only allows you to load the base menu, usually Acad.
