custom-custom properties list

In installing 2007, I first used the copy settings wizard, and backed up
my templates/sheet formats. I removed 2006 including the registry
references, then installed 2007. I used the wizard to restore my settings.
All settings seem to be as they were, except my custom properties list.
I had to manually re-enter the 10 or so custom properties that we've
accumulated. As the list of non-standard custom properties seems to grow
with time, I'd like to know, for future upgrading, where that data was
stored in the first place, so that I can simply copy it over. Its not part
of any template as I restored my previous ones. And its obviously something
that the copy settings wizard misses. Is it stored in its own registry
entry? Anyone happen to know a quick solution?

This list and many other things are files, not registry or other types
of custom settings. As such to manage them you should have a location
out of the SW install path where you keep them. This should be a common
location to allow others to share common files. The location can be set
    in TOOLS/OPTIONS/SYSTEM/FILE LOCATIONS.

Thanks, now that I know that its a file ( had assumed registry
setting ), and know where it is, I can back it up for future needs.

  4. It is a file called Properties.txt and on my machine it's at C:\Program
Files\SolidWorks2006\lang\english. I have a batch file that is part of my
installation routine that copies my "standard" file to a new machine. You
also have to run it each time you update with a SP since the update will
overwrite that file with a new one.

Just a reminder here - if you have a macros folder, you have to make sure
you copy that to the new version.
