Ctrl+W ????

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Neville Williams, Apr 24, 2004.

  1. I'm trying to assign Ctrl+W to Zoom Window command. (2002)
Is this key combination reserved in Acad or am I just missing something obvious here.

All I get back on command line is

    Command: Ins Unknown command "INS".

I've had a look thru accelerators and there does not seem to be anything else
    assigned.
Anyone come across the problem and solution

    Cheers

Why bother? Just plain "Z" (then pick your window) does it on most systems.

  3. I should have said "transparant zoom window".
It appears to be hard coded to ins snap, can this be overridden

OK, so what have you tried? I just added the line

    [CONTROL+"W"]'ZOOM W

to the ***ACCELERATORS section of my .mns file, and it works fine.

    Thanks for the input Paul.

I've figured it out. I copied parts of my old menu over from 2000 and that included the underscore in front of the
    command
as soon as I removed that it worked, go figure.
