Ctl+c for copy

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Lizzy O'Sullivan, Jul 6, 2004.

  1. The keyboard command Ctl+C works as cancel on my computer. I would like
Ctl+c and Ctl+v for copy and paste within autocad.

    Using Win2000 and Adt 3.3

I tried Tools,Customize, keyboard, then edit menu and under copy it is blank
but how to add in Ctl+c ??

    Thanks

Go to Tools, Options, User Preferences tab, check the "Windows standard
accelerator keys" on the top left.

  3. Lizzy if the advice from Josh doesn't help there is another way:
Go to Tools - Customize - Keyboard...
On the field "Categories" choose "Edit Menu", then under the field commands
    choose "Copy".
The field "Current Keys" should be empty.
Click once on the field "Press new shortcut key" to put the cursor there,
    then really press Ctrl+C.
    Click the button "Assign".
Repeat with Paste or other command. Be careful if the command have Assigned
key or shortcut key is already assigned.
At the end click "Close" button.
