Just when I thought all the bugs were cleaned out....this one occurs. We received a 2005 drawing from utility company and didn't have their CTB file - we put in ours, and if we plotted to scale, it was fine (but the size of border didn't quite fit), IF however, we plotted with the 'fit to paper' box selected, all the lineweights are ignored and the linework is way too light. All our other drawings are fine and I even exported to 2000 and tried in 2002, but it still didn't work.

    Can anyone explain this mystery???

    TIA

Make sure that the scaling of lineweights is turned off.

Mystery solved....how would that be set up in the drawings and why? On all our drawings, the box is always shaded/unselectable and turned off. Obviously some way they set up the drawing did this.

    thanks in advance

Exactly!! The scaling of lineweights has to do with setting up lineweights
on a drawing, and then setting up a paperspace tab at a scale. You can then
tell it to scale the lineweights to the paperspace scale. A handy feature,
    if you use lineweights.

realize I can select on and off in paper space.....
