I am researching the purchase of a new monitor and I was thought I'd ask this group of CAD users for their recommendations for a good monitor. I am looking for something in the range of 19"-22" size. I currently use a resolution of 1024x768 on a 19" CRT monitor. I want a very fine dot pitch - around 0.25mm would be best. I'm beginning to suspect that an LCD screen may not deliver the same clarity as CRT for text in AutoCAD but I'm confused about this so any first hand accounts of LCD screens would be most helpful. Also, how important is the contrast ratio on LCD screens? If this is just for colour accuracy then Acad's 256 colours are not a primary consideration. Garth W.
