I have used AsdkUnsupp2004.arx before but it doesn't seem to work in
2005. The background mask would be a good alternative but it won't
plot. It displays on the screen but wont plot. Is there a way of
    creating a wipeout in 2005.

I guess from the lack of response that it is impossible to create a wipe
out in 2005 VBA. Is there a AsdkUnsupp2005.arx?

The 'low-end' solution to this is to create a region or solid hatch and put it on a layer that has been set up in the pen table to print 'white'. We use color 250 here as most users us a black background and 250 is 'charcoal gray'. The only trouble is maintaining it as a 'background' object so that it doesn't cover up text or other entities that may be sitting within it.

Forget the regions -- i meant the entity you get when using the 'SOLID' command (a non-3d solid).
