    Hello All,
I am a new user of Microstation and I am looking to create a unique
tool to use. I am using Microstation with DiAp to do forest inventories
and I am always measuring tree heights and as you all know tree heights
vary in the forest. I thought that a quick way to find the average
would be to have a comb like structure attached to the mouse pointer
that would have height differences on each tooth. This way I could
place it at ground level and quickly determine the average height of
trees. What my question boils down to is, can I create such a tool, and
could someone let me know if there are online programming guides for
creating a tool and getting it to work?
Any suggestions would be great, Thanks

The only thing I can think of is to have a cell that you are
describing, and just click on place cell, but don't actually place it.
Just use it for measuring. I don't know, just a suggestion.
