I'd like to be able to open up autocad and open all the files i had open
when i went to shut it down. I'm thinking maybe a lisp that can write out
the names of files to a txt file and then call the txt file to open the
drawing list when executing the lisp file.

Is there anything like that out there?

  2. Try to use HISTORY command from Expess Tools. It not creates a workspace,
but displays a dialog box containing a list of previously opened drawings.
Also displays the date and time that the last drawing was opened and the
login name of the last user. Double-click an entry to open that drawing.

HISTORYFILE command configures an external file for the HISTORY command.
Separate history files can be maintained.
