Create AutoCAD-Toolbar with VB6 for all ACAD-Versions

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Jens Hoffmann, Nov 24, 2004.

  1. Hi NG,

I want to create a toolbar for calling some custom applications (EXE's) I
developed under Visual Basic 6. Additionally I want write a little tool,
which once creates a permanent toolbar in AutoCAD automatically
independently of the used AutoCAD-Version (2000 and higher).

I found the Toolbar-Object in the ACAD-Object-Library, but my problem is,
that every different version of AutoCAD needs a different reference to the
ACAD-Object-Library. (e.g. in ACAD 2000 it is located in the
ACAD-Install-Path, in ACAD 2005 it is located in the CommonFiles-Path).

But I want share only one Version of the 'Toolbar-Creation-Tool' which suits
to all Versions of AutoCAD (2000 and higher).

Does someone have an idea, how I can realize that?

    Many thanx in advance...
    Jens
