    Experts,

Do you know any command in AutoCAD which can create a 2D projection
(Top, Right, Left etc.) for a 3D object.

I tried dXB approach, but the results are not good.

I tried solprof command, but it is not helping me also.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards

  2. To simply get a 2d projection, or view is simple, but not probably what you
    want.

If you want to "flatten" a 3d model, the method varies depending on the
types of entities used to make the model.

    Hi

The old rule is that a point in 3D is defined by it's projection onto
the tree planes. now as you only need the projection onto xy plane just
omit the z , if you want to project a 3D point onto the front or side
plane you must remember that then z become y and as omiting z you omit
x , ----- a bit rusty but this is basic 3D you just need to know how it
work and that 3D is easily defined by the 3D points projection onto the
    3 planes.
------- then maby you need a bit programming to find the points in the
drawing database, but there are tools for that.
