I HAVE TRYED TO CONVERT A dwg. DRAWING INTO A eps. FILE SO THAT I CAN
HAVE A NEGATIVE MADE FROM IT BY A GRAPHICS COMPANY. EVERY TIME I TRYED
IT ALL THE COUVES AND CIRCLES CAME OUT AS HEXAGONS AND STRIGHT LINES.
THE GRAPHICS COMPAY SAY IT IS THE WAY THE FILE HAS BEEN SAVED, AND SEEM
TO THINK THERE IS NO PROBLEM AT THERE END OF THINGS. OFF HAND I DON`T
    KNOW THAT SYSTEM THEY USE.

    YOU ANYONE HELP?

They are probably right. The PostScript file format (EPS is
Encapsulated PostScript) does not know circles, so can only represent
them using curves or polyline segments.

Then, the program that you used to convert from DWG to EPS may have
also chosen to represent the curves using (straight) polyline segments.
That is then "the way the file has been saved" like your graphics
    company says.

EPS as a format does support curves (as does PDF). Maybe others know
how to preserve them when getting the drawing out of AutoCAD/DWG.

  3. In the EPS files that AutoCAD creates circles are represented as regular
"polygons" (not hexagons, unless your circles are extremely small).
Usually they have so many short sides that you should get graphics that
*look like* real circles and arcs.
