    Hello Group.
I don't have PDM or similiar
Is there any good guides or references
on copying projects (Assemblies Subassemblies parts and drawings)
from one area (directory) to another.
I find this exercise very confusing. This is something I
must learn and understand fully. It seems Solidworks Explorer
    doesn't handle drawings to well.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards

    Hi

    Open your top level model

From the menu click File - Save As [ you'll gat a warning, but keep going ]

    Choose the location:
Browse to the desired folder (create if necessary)

Click the References button [ a new dialog box opens and a list of all the
    files referenced is presented ]

Select all of them [ or just the appropriate ones ]

    Choose the location for them:
Click the Browse button and verrify the folder location as in the previous
step [ the References dialog box will display the current location and the
new location (split screen) ] of the referenced files

    Click OK

Now you're back to the Save As dialog box
    And click OK

    That does it.
The entire project copied over as neat package into a single folder.

    Cheers.

What about the SLDDRW 's? I recall you had to do them
    diferently.

    Hi Whit,

We have only recently set up our website and it doesn't have a link to the
demo download yet - I will get it sorted out. We sell X-files for $AUD
300 - if you are interested contact Rick via his email on the website as he
writes all our software and SolidWorks API.

    Merry :)
