This may seem a little absurd with the impending release of SW2005 but
i have just upgraded from SW2003 to SW2004. SW works great,
unfortunately, when i try to open autacad R14 it tries to open
edrawings 2004 then crashes with a fatal error. i have re-installed
acad, no change. I have un-installed edrawings then re installed
acad, this removed the conflict, but acad still crashes. I guess that
the next step is to un-install SW to see if there is a conflict there.

If anybody has had similar experiences or can shed light onto the
problem i would be very grateful.

    thank you

  2. I have SW 2004SP3.1, Edrawings and SolidWorks2000 all installed on WinXP SP1
and have never had an issue. Did you also upgrade your OS I have seen this
cause problems with ACAD. What OS in XP you can set ACAD to run like it is
Win98 or something that was supported by ACAD.

  3. Just a thought - when you installed SW, did you tell it to go ahead and
install XchangeWorks? If so, maybe uninstall that.
