Common object library in .NET

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Frank Oquendo, Mar 8, 2005.

  1. For some reason, referencing axdb16enu.tlb creates a local interop
assembly rather than referencing Autodesk.AutoCAD.Interop.Common.dll in
    the GAC.

I've performed a registry repair and a resintall all to no avail. Can
someone tell me how to fix this?

  2. FYI: I used TLBIMP to create an assembly with the proper name and
namespace. I'd still like to solve the problem rather than just work
    around it.

  3. Hmmm...I'll have to play around for a fix but as to the "why", do you have
Use Local Copy set to false on the properties of the reference? With mine
set as such, I'm using the GAC file w/ no local copy being made [VS2003]

  4. Yep.

Odd thing is that everything works correctly on my home machine. This
problem is isolated to my work computer.
