    Hello,

I would be grateful if you could give me some info from experience on
monitors made for giving very clear images and text.

First are LCD screens used for work like that?
    If yes which particular model?

Then, since a high resolution is needed for displaying accurate info,
this would mean the readable text would be quite small.
Is there any solution to have high screen resolution and large text
(without making windows boxes overlapping on text eg adjusting the
    dpi).

    Many thanks

    George

I'm using a Planar PX191 and would never go back to my old 19-inch CRT

  4. Why not, Bob? My five-year-old Trinitron is on life-support and I'm going to
have to plug the plug on it sooner or later...

Actually I don't use Autocad, but I like hanging out with this group.

For daily drafting needs I use Visualcadd. This was almost a no-brainer
for me since I come from a Generic Cadd background.

It is my opinion that the images on my new Planar LCD are sharper and
easier to read than my old KDS. This was true even BEFORE I replaced
    the video card.

With a new NVidea GeForce FX5500 (the only thing that Office Depot had
in stock the day my video card died), the system works very well. there
is also less glare and I have a high contrast ratio which makes seeing
    drawing files easier.

Any other monitors? I was going to buy the Nec-Mitsubishi 2180UX for
home work and it seems its more expensive than the ones you use.
