Would you know of any piece of software which would accept a list of filenames in dwg/tiff format from the command line or gui and send them to the printer?

I do not know of any third party software that would allow you to print
multiple dwgs or tiffs. In the past if I had multiple DWGs to plot I would
create a script file. If you are unfamiliar with script files, they are
batch files that run inside AutoCAD. You could also create a LISP routine
that would do it as well.

Make sure your drawings are purged. Unused blocks often cause this problem becuase they part of the file memory and will increase the size of the plot even though they do not appear in the file. Try purging out your files and resending the plots and see if that makes a difference- I have had problems in this area especially with 3D piping symbols in files that were 30-40 MB CAD files and then the plot file wanting to be 50-60MB because of the unused blocks, purging has helped to pull plots back to a more sane file size.

Thank you people for all your input. I have evaluated a number of packages and the winner is definitely Cad Viewer from guthcad. Excellent software with all the features I was looking for.
